Pakistan position in the Global Gender Gap Report 2020?

153rd
Pakistan had ranked 153rd  among 156 countries in the Global Gender Gap Index 2020.

According to the ‘Global Gender Gap Report 2021‘ published by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Pakistan ranked 153rd out of 156 countries on the gender parity index. Pakistan ranked seventh among eight countries in South Asia, only better than Afghanistan.

Since Imran Khan came to power in 2018, Pakistan’s Global Gender Gap Index has worsened over time. In 2017, Pakistan ranked 143rd on the 2017 Global Gender Gap Index. However, in 2018, it slipped to the 148th spot. The country’s ranking dipped further as it secured 153rd on the 2020 Global Gender Gap Index.
According to Dawn news, PAKISTAN ranks only above Iraq and Yemen in the Global Gender Report 2020. Yet the long-discriminated-against Pakistani woman has made much overlooked progress. Conditions are terrible for her but trends, especially for those between 15 and 24 (the future and present), are hopeful.
